Baekam Hot Spring Tourism Special Zone

Baekam Hot Spring is a colorless and odorless hot spring water with temperature of 53℃, that is suitable for enjoying hot spring baths as well as various beneficial ingredients such as sodium, fluorine, and calcium and has excellent effects on chronic dermatitis, endometritis, women's disease, paralysis, arteriosclerosis. We can acknowledge long history and effect of Baekam hot springs from literature that says "Panjungchubusa Ki Ja-Hun requests to take a bath in 'Five skies of the land Pyeonghae' for his cure for nervous disorders during the Gwanghaegun of Joseon 1610, and Gwanhaegun sents him a horse and a break, with a word "have a good trip." The road to Baekam Hot Spring was planted with 3,000 crape-myrtles as part of the flower road construction project, and was recognized as the longest crape-myrtle flower road in South Korea by Guinness of Korea in 2009.

Sipiryeong old road Bobusang Tavern Village

Sipiryeong Village, located in the Northweat of Uljin-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, is a new name of samdanggwon station(Ducheon-ri, Sangdang-ri, Hadang-ri), newly born due to Comprehensive Rural Village Development Project in 2009. Walking through the twelve elevated passages Sipiryeong old road along the footsteps of sad life of Bobusang(pedlar, hunters) who had to spend their lives on the road traveling from Uljin to Bonghwa trying to find marketplaces, you can feel the uniqueness of nature, history, and people through the combination of clear and clean valleys and the 500-year-old pine forest of Geumgang. In Hadang-ri, the Sipiryeong Community Center and Geumgangsong Workshop Experience Facility is built, in Sangdang-ri, a weekend farm, as well as comfortable accommodations and a multi-purpose square for the convenience of visitors and residents are built, Ducheon-ri has a natural ecological experience area where you can relax in peaceful surroundings.

Deokgu Recreation Hot Springs

Deokgu Recreation Hot Springs, which does not mix water with hot water, is the only natural springs in Korea and is a weak alkaline hot spring. 43 ℃ hot spring water flowing from the middle of Eungbongsan Mountain is effective for neuralgia, arthritis, skin disease, muscle pain. There is a spa facility with body massage, aqua pockets, outdoor tanning room and jasmine bath. Also, Deokgu valley is a good place for a summer retreat, and there's Eungbongsan Mountain behind the Deokgu Recreation Hot Springs, where numerous mountain climbers look for.

Gusugok Recreational Forest

At the foor of the Eungbongsan Mountain (998.5m), called Gusugok due to the high flow of water, Gusugok Recreational Forest taking place in valley has two Cheonyeo waterfalls that reaches 10km, inhabits rare plants and animals such as mountain goats along with Uljin Pine Tree (Geumgangsong) that's over 200 years, has 18 small and large cascade and waterfalls wherever the water bends, especially at the end of the valley there are waterfalls 30m and 10m long, forming extreme of natural mystery, nearby is Deokgu Recreation Hot Springs, the only natural springs in Korea, with beaches along the East Coast, you can enjoy forest bathing, hot spring bathing, and bathing at the same time.

Tonggosan Recreational Forest

Tonggosan Recreational Forest is a recreational forest located in Tonggosan [1,066m], a range of Taebaek mountain ranges, it is in a deep mountain of 500m above sea level, and the forest is dense, especially in mid-October, the maple leaves are spectacular. Located at the top of the Buryeongsa valley, you can see the valley that runs along the trail, about 10 km from the entrance to the summit.
Granite is weathered to create magnificent views, there are large and small waterfalls on the bottom of the valley and at both sides, due to floodgates. There are a variety of facilities such as fitness center, water playground, Lecture hall, water service center, visitor information center, forest cultural resort, nature observatory, woodworking exhibition room, mountain trail, and walkway. The total surface of the area is 150.71 million㎡㎡, and the distance of the climbing road is 2.5 km, and the time required to reach the summit is about 2 hours. Tonggosan is ecologically harmonious with Geumgang pines and local hardwoods. You can experience Tonggosan mountain trail and nature observation trail by drinking clean water and breathing clear air of Simmigol valley from the summit.
