At the end of Koryeo Dynasty, a man named Jeonmo, a full-bodied expert of bow and spear was chasing the wild boar with the hunters. The wounded wild boar washed the body in a valley and ran away at a rapid pace. Man wondered where the hot spring water was, and found hot spring water that naturally spills. This was the beginning of the Deokgu hot spring 600 years ago. This is also a legend of remedial effect of Deokgu hot springs.
